Digitization is changing HR work: Companies are increasingly relying on online tools for recruiting
Current study by Stifterverband and McKinsey: HR professionals are using more and more digital selection tests, business games and automated analyzes. Around 280,000 academics will be hired in five years with the help of online tools. Companies want to increase the number of training days for their employees to five days per year.
New digital technologies will also massively change the work of HR departments in companies. Digital selection tests, business games or automated analyzes of applicant profiles on online platforms will play an increasingly important role in personnel recruitment and development up to 2023. The HR departments are reacting to the need to find sufficient specialists with technological skills and to train the existing workforce in new key qualifications.
These are the central results of a current study by the Stifterverband and McKinsey & Company entitled "How future skills are changing HR work". More than 600 large corporations, medium-sized and small companies and startups in Germany were surveyed for the study. The analysis is the second of four discussion papers drawn up as part of the Stifterverband's Future Skills Initiative.
