OVERVIEW

The Energy & Materials Practice at McKinsey brings together the energy and basic materials industries and is one of our fastest growing areas. We develop industry-specific concepts, such as Periscope, a solution approach for pricing. We also successfully apply concepts from other McKinsey practices, for example the lean concepts from the automotive industry. Companies of all sizes have made use of the global expertise of our consultants in recent years. In the chemical sector alone, 250 consultants have supported clients in over 1,000 projects over the past 5 years.

COMPANY

OUR GUIDING VALUES

We live from our employees, because their commitment and passion are what define Heckert Solar. Our shared values form the basis for dealing with each other and thus guarantee the quality of our work. In addition to sustainability, the focus is on entrepreneurship, innovation, competence, transparency and a healthy work-life balance, because these values not only strengthen us as employees, but also our relationships with our customers and business partners.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY SOLAR MODULE PRODUCTION IN GERMANY

Our central claim is the sustainable production of solar modules. Heckert Solar was certified according to ISO 14001:2015 in the area of environmental management in 2018. The careful and responsible use of resources is very important to us.

Did you know, that …

  • Heckert Solar produces electricity from its own PV test systems

  • the additional consumption is covered by additional green electricity purchased

  • the waste heat from module production is used to heat the offices

  • Rainwater is collected and used as process water

  • Meticulous waste separation takes place throughout the company

  • Beverages must only be purchased in reusable packaging and regionally

  • The in-house PV open space serves as a biotope for native species

  • A special recycling company disposes of defective Heckert solar modules

  • With a Heckert solar module 330 Wp, approx. 155 kg of CO2 can be saved annually

Our Metals & Mining consultants support clients worldwide in the mining, metal production and metal processing (steel and non-ferrous metals) sectors. The content is about questions of strategic orientation, regional expansion, the improvement of operational processes or the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Damdaki Güneş Panelleri

The European energy sector is energized - despite and at the same time because of the liberalization and not least because of the energy transition. The energy companies have divided the markets and got their cost structures under control over the past few years. In addition to the aging power plant fleet, it poses strategic challenges, above all, the uncertain future importance of energy sources and the often lack of planning security due to state-regulated grids.
