DIGITAL CAPABILITY CENTER
The Digital Capability Center (DCC) Aachen is Europe's leading demonstration and learning factory with a focus on Industry 4.0. In real production, our clients learn how to step by step from the pilot phase to a holistic transformation.
You will acquire methodical and technical competencies as well as management skills in order to be able to successfully digitally “take” your employees with you.
At DCC Aachen, our clients face typical digital challenges: They encounter machines of different ages and employees with different levels of knowledge. With the help of state-of-the-art solutions such as digital performance management, real-time diagnostics, collaborative robotics or augmented reality, the participants learn to solve challenges experimentally, interactively and in a short time.
Our clients then identify and prioritize the digital potential of their company from the supplier to production and logistics to service. You develop your individual transformation program - and can implement it.
The DCC Aachen offers workshops and training programs from half a day to five days. They range from a quick, initial impulse to developing a digital roadmap for your own company. The latest knowledge is guaranteed: The DCC Aachen is one of five digital capability centers in the global McKinsey network and cooperates with 25 renowned technology partners.
More than 5,000 participants from around 350 companies are already using these offers in the first year since the opening of the DCC Aachen.

MODEL WAREHOUSE
The Model Warehouse, opened in 2014, is a center for building lean warehousing capabilities. It was founded as a cooperation project between McKinsey & Company and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with its leading institute for conveyor technology and logistics systems (IFL). Here, approaches that have been used successfully in lean manufacturing for many years are transferred to warehouse management in an innovative way. Warehousing is a critical part of global supply chains. However, it is often neglected when increasing performance. The center offers the opportunity to optimize typical warehouse processes such as storage, commissioning, packaging and shipping and to develop the skills necessary for a holistic sustainable transformation in an experience-oriented learning environment.
